Flash, Mewtwo, and Raiden: IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLE!

---

Death City was looking like it always did. Unlike the last two times a fight happened, no suspicious people were wandering the streets of the city. However, if one looked closely, they would spot a man ascending a stone column to the Moon above the buildings. He had long golden hair, a beard, and wore a white robe. The man finally reached the Moon's surface after days of using the pillar to climb up to it. When he stepped down on the Moon, he spoke.

"Soon, I shall have power that surpasses even the Truth."

The robed man glared at the Moon's surface as blue sparks shot out around him, opening up a hole in the ground and revealing a strange black shell.

"His prison is strange, but I may be able to break it." The man thought to himself. He formed the surface below him into two spiked fists of stone and started pounding on the black shell with the fists, eventually cracking it. The man dissolved the stone fists and walked over to the black prison, more blue sparks coming out and manipulating the prison until a large gap was made in it. A strange being was revealed beneath the blackness. He had black shaggy hair, pale skin, and various scarves covering most of his body.

"Awaken, Demon God Asura!" The man commanded. The Kishin's eyes fluttered open, revealing them to be red with a strange pattern in them.

"I'm free?" Asura thought, a wide grin spreading across his face as he leaped from his Black Blood prison, coming face to face with the man who freed him.

"So, I assume you're the one who released me from my containment. Is that correct?" Asura asked.

"Indeed, it is. My name is Father, and I released you for one thing." The man said, blue sparks coming out of him again.

"Your soul!"

A stone hand emerged from the ground and nearly grabbed Asura, who simply jumped back and pulverized the limb with a lash of his scarves.

"It appears that he is as strong as I'd hoped." Father thought. "His soul will be very useful to me."

"Sorry, but I need my soul. Besides, I can see that you already have tons of souls within you. Why take mine?" Asura questioned. Father could already feel Asura's madness wavelength engulfing him, making him want to run away, or maybe even kill hims-

"No! I must stay calm." Father thought, silencing Asura's voice in his head.

"Impressive. You're ignoring my madness." Asura complimented with a chuckle. "Don't try to resist for long. You'll go crazy eventually, I can promise you that."

"Silence!" Father commanded. "Either let me take your soul, or I'll have to remove it by force."

"The answer's still no. Prepare to fight, fool!" Asura exclaimed with a crazed grin.

"Very well then." Father responded, forming two stone hands next to him with alchemy while Asura prepared two of his scarves.

FIGHT!

Asura went on the offensive first, extending his scarves towards the first homunculus. Father blocked the scarves with his stone hands, the scarves shattering the limbs in the process. Father quickly formed a wave of stone spikes and sent it at Asura, who jumped back to dodge before opening his mouth wide, a golden spike emerging from his throat and firing a blast of crimson energy at Father. Father defended against the blast by forming a thick wall of stone, the wall cracking as the blast dissipated.

"The souls inside his body seem to be depleting whenever he manipulates the ground. Interesting." Asura muttered. The Demon God fired five more energy blasts from Vajra, forcing Father on the defensive with some more stone walls. Before the Kishin could attack again, Father extended some stone spikes at him, one of them impaling Asura through the chest.

"What an annoyance." Asura snapped the stone spike in half with his bare hands and tossed it away, the hole in his chest closing in seconds. Father quickly sent more earthen fists after Asura, who smashed each one of them with his Skin Scarves. Asura regurgitated Vajra again and fired some bolts of crimson energy from the weapon's tip, Father trying to raise another wall, but the first blast broke through it and let the other shots hit their mark.

"Does it hurt, homunculus?" Asura asked with a smirk. However, his smirk faded when he saw the destroyed parts of Father's body regenerate in a flash of red sparks.

"Damn it all." Asura muttered to himself. Father formed two stone pillars from the ground and extended them towards Asura. The Kishin jumped onto one of the pillars and ran across it, dodging and destroying any fists and spikes that Father sent after him. As he ran, Asura did a sign with his hands that made it look like he was praying, forming a red circle of energy in front of him, numerous eye symbols inside of it. When a stone fist came into contact with the circle, the earthen limb shattered instantly.

"You can block all you want, Demon God. I'll break you soon enough." Father exclaimed as he formed a massive blade of stone and sent it flying at Asura. The Strongest Coward simply clapped his hands together, forcing the blade to explode before sending a wave of energy along the pillar he was running across, the shockwave travelling to Father and causing him great pain. Luckily, his regeneration kept him from getting too harmed from the assault.

"You're attacks aren't enough to-" Father started to say before a long scarf smacked him in the jaw, sending the Philosopher of the East back slightly from the blow's force. When his vision cleared, Father saw Asura coming towards him, Vajra sticking out of his mouth, and spinning like a drill while a tornado surrounded his body. Father formed a triple-layered stone wall with his alchemy and covered the barrier with spikes in response.

"No matter how crazy, he wouldn't risk his own life for one good hit." Father assured himself. The barrier should hold Asura off. But, instead of turning away, Asura smashed through all three walls with relative ease, leaving Father with no choice but to lift himself up on a pillar to avoid having to waste more souls on regenerating.

"Come down, friend! Don't you want to fight anymore?" Asura shouted from the pillar's base. "Are you scared, Father?" The homunculus was insulted that this insane little monster would dare think he was afraid of him, or anything. Instead of ignoring Asura's taunts, Father extended his pillar down towards the Kishin, forming a large fist on the end as he hoped to pummel the Shinigami into the dust.

"That's more like it!" Asura held Father's stone fist back with his scarves before firing a point-black energy blast from Vajra, blowing off Father's head. Luckily for the homunculus, his head reappeared in red sparks of energy.

"Your healing ability is strong. That, I'll give you." Asura said. Father simply sighed in response as more blue sparks shot out from the ground, signifying the arrival of stone spikes that erupted out to skewer Asura. The Demon God sent out a small ball of black flames in response, the fire spreading along the earthen thorns and threatening to burn Father if he didn't get away. The first homunculus formed an earthen dome around his body as the fire raged past him, protecting him from the dark inferno.

Asura saw Father's barrier through his flames and smirked, firing an blast of red energy from Vajra that blew a hole in the stone, causing the fire to spill in and light Father's body ablaze. Father's body started regenerating from the burns, but the flames kept damaging him as he healed. As Father got trapped in the dome of black fire, Asura formed three circles of red symbols in front of him, firing a combined beam of crimson energy from it to obliterate Father. As Father shattered the stone dome, he noticed the madness blast heading towards him, reducing his body to ash.

"You should have given yourself to the madness. Then, you might still be alive." Asura teased. Unfortunately for the Kishin, red sparks emerged from the ash pile as Father's body reformed from the dust.

"Enough of this foolishness! I'll finish this now if I have to!" Father said angrily. Suddenly, his human form split in half as a mass of black liquid emerged from the husk, forming into a humanoid shape with multiple red eyes opening on the dark shape.

"Finally, I've rid myself of that husk." Father said, a wide grin appearing on the spot where his face would've been. Asura charged after the newly-transformed Father and lashed out with his scarves. The homunculus simply chuckled and thrust his hand forward, forming his fingers into sharp tendrils and extending them at Asura. The Kishin leaned to the side to avoid the tendrils, but the thin black thorns followed Asura's movements, forcing him to continue dodging to avoid them.

"What's the matter, Kishin? Are you afraid?" Father taunted.

"No..." Asura muttered.

"ONLY I MAY CAUSE FEAR!" Asura shouted, forming five circles of red energy and firing some madness beams down at Father, one of them severing his arm before it quickly reattached. As Asura darted towards Father, the homunculus shifted into liquid and maneuvered around the Demon God. Father then sent his hand after Asura, grabbing him and flinging him away. Asura quickly turned himself around in midair and fired some more red energy beams from Vajra. However, Father simply absorbed the blasts into his body and fired them back at the Strongest Coward.

With Asura distracted by the beams, Father liquefied his body and slipped into a crack in the ground, hoping to catch his opponent off-guard. When he avoided the reflected beams, Asura looked around and noticed that Father was gone. Asura simply activated his Soul Perception, sensing hundreds of souls stuck in a small crack in the Moon's surface.

"There you are." Asura dropped to the ground and placed his hands on the ground, sending a shockwave through the Moon that forced Father out of his hiding spot.

"That was very clever of you, Kishin, forcing me out of the crack like that." Father complimented as he reformed into his human shape. "Unfortunately for you, that isn't nearly enough to finish me."

Asura formed two balls of dark flames in his palms and flung them at Father, who liquefied and maneuvered around them before reforming and forming his hands into long blades. Father then started slashing at Asura with his blades, the Kishin dodging the slashes as he regurgitated Vajra, firing a point-blank blast of red energy at the homunculus's face. Father simply regenerated from the blast and formed a stone fist to punch Asura. The Kishin dodged the fist and fired three blasts from Vajra, all of which Father easily avoided.

"Even in my second form, he still holds up to my might. Very peculiar." Father thought to himself while he formed some soldiers out of stone, retreating into another crack as his artificial army raised their fists. Asura simply smirked as a distortion suddenly appeared in the air, signifying the concentration of madness that was happening in that spot. Out of the distortion, a twisted being materialized. It resembled a clown, but its body was a twisted amalgamation of pipes and flesh, a large horn replacing one of its arms.

"How can I serve you, Kishin-sama?" The clown asked.

"Take care of them." Asura answered before leaping over the stone soldiers. As its master went off to resume fighting Father, the Clown grinned psychotically before brutally smashing one of the soldiers with its horn-shaped arm. While the Clown was busy with that, Asura landed over Father's position in the ground and ripped out a chunk of the Moon, revealing the homunculus inside the planetoid's crust.

"You've found me again? But, how?" Father asked. Instead of answering, Asura regurgitated Vajra and fired another madness blast. As Father maneuvered out of the hole, he lunged after Asura, hoping to absorb the Kishin into his body. Unfortunately, Asura dodged Father's liquid form, leaving him to reform on the ground.

"If I could just absorb someone's soul, then I could gain an upper hand. But, there's no one around but him and I." Father looked around before spotting the Clown, who had just finished demolishing the stone army. Father grinned and sent his arm after the Clown, latching onto it and pulling the creature of madness inside of his body. With the Clown's soul added to his supply, Father was feeling stronger already. He lunged after Asura once more, forming his hand into a spiked fist, and punched forward. However, Asura dodged at the last second and wrapped his scarves around Father, who simply liquefied himself and flowed away from the Demon God.

When he reformed, everything around Father seemed a bit off. He couldn't tell what was wrong, but Father just felt like the world was slowly disintegrating around him. The ground shook, the sky above him glowed red, and everything seemed hopeless.

"No! His madness is getting to me again!" Father reassured himself. No matter how much he tried to shake off the insanity, Asura's wavelength kept closing in on him.

"Give yourself to the madness, Father. If you just give yourself to the insanity within yourself, then everything will be just fine. Just look at how I turned out."

As those words rang in his head, the sound of crazed laughter reverberating in his skull, Father couldn't take it anymore. Three completely different Asuras, one resembling the one Father had been fighting, one wearing a red and black shirt with scarves covering his entire face, and one completely naked with his skin pressed tightly over his body, walked towards him, all of them sharing the same psychopathic smirk.

"GIVE YOURSELF TO THE MADNESS."

Those words rang over and over in Father's head. He just had to find a way to escape this twisted hallucination.

"There is one thing I could try." Father thought. He pulled out a small red stone and absorbed it into his body, the souls inside the stone flowing through him and giving him strength.

"Demon God! Your trick was well-performed, but I have no time for tricks!" Father exclaimed. Suddenly, a larger version of Father's true form appeared in the air and shouted at the sky.

"Hear me, God! I demand you answer the cries of my soul! Come to me!"

"You continue to fight the insanity? I haven't seen many people who could survive against me for this long." Asura observed. In an attempt to stop Father, Asura fired blast after blast of madness energy at his larger form. However, each beam was just absorbed and rebounded by the homunculus.

As Asura attempted to attack his larger form, a large pair of doors appeared in the sky and were forcefully opened, revealing a large grey eye behind them. Multiple black tendrils emerged from under Father and from behind the giant eye, the black limbs intertwining as Father reached for the eye, pulling it into his own being and absorbing it into his body. Suddenly, a bright flash appeared, blinding Asura and forcing him to look away.

"Finally, the perfection I deserve has been obtained."

When the light faded, Asura looked at the spot where Father once was and saw a being completely different than the black mass he previously fought with. He was a young man with long blond hair, golden eyes, a loincloth wrapped around his waist, and the same sullen stare that marked the face of Father's human form.

"Time to see what happens when a Demon God meets a real God." Father said, forming a small sphere of energy on the end of his finger.

Asura, knowing the danger he would be in if he didn't, quickly started firing energy blasts at Father. Father simply sent the blasts back with a wave of his hand. Asura avoided each of his redirected blasts and charged after Father, who flung a small ball of fiery energy at him. Asura lunged to the side to avoid the fiery ball and lashed out with his scarves. Father grabbed one of the scarves and tugged on it to drag Asura forward. Luckily for the Kishin, he grabbed onto the scarf and sent a shockwave of energy along it. While the wave didn't hurt Father that much, it did cause enough pain for the Demon God to notice.

"No matter what God you absorb, you'll never defeat the primordial powers of madness!" Asura bragged as he shot a stream of dark fire from his hands, Father easily swatting the flames away. Father then alchemically formed a large throne for himself as hundreds of stone hands, spikes, columns, and other weapons formed behind him.

"Go."

As Asura dashed towards his foe, every fist, spike, column, and cannon set their sights on him. The Kishin fiercely smashed through fists and columns with his scarves and strength alone. He maneuvered around cannonballs and tanked every spike that impaled him, regenerating from the damage and continuing his pursuit.

"This is one persistent little insect. I guess I shouldn't be surprised." Father said to himself, head resting on his hand as he sent more alchemy-created weapons towards the God of Madness. The creator of the homunculi stared blankly as Asura tore apart his forces with little difficulty.

"I suppose just a little God power isn't enough. I'll need to go all out with this one." Father thought as he lowered himself to the ground, confronting Asura as he made it to the throne.

"Are you going to fight now, or will you just hide behind your artillery again?" Asura asked, eyes glowing red.

"It occurs to me that you may be more than a crazed pest hiding from the world behind a wall of insanity. While I didn't wish to squander my new power on an insect such as yourself, I suppose I'll dirty my hands this once. Consider it an honor, Demon God Asura, to be slain by a true deity."

Asura, ignoring Father's speech, lashed out with his scarves again, binding Father's wrists and pulling him in close for a punch to the face. The new God didn't seem to feel the blow, not even changing his bored expression, so Asura continued wailing on him with blows.

"Are you finished yet?" Father asked.

"I don't understand. You-You don't look scared... Why aren't you scared?!" Asura was looking even crazier than usual, his face pulled into a wide grimace of terror.

"The answer is simple, really." Father answered.

"Why would I fear someone weaker than me?"

That statement made Asura lose it. Slamming his fists on the ground, Asura sent a massive shockwave of energy along the ground, tripping up Father in the process. After the shockwave, Asura threw out his arms, gave an insane scream, and regurgitated Vajra before shooting a storm of energy bolts at Father. The homunculus simply sighed and summoned a small tornado, firing it at the blasts as the cyclone grew to full size and carried the shots away.

"Perhaps I overestimated you. No true Demon God would act as careless as you." Father said as he stared at Asura, one eyebrow raised.

"Don't look at me! Get away!" Asura commanded as he jumped back, a dome of red symbols surrounding him. Asura curled into a ball and covered his head with his hands, the Kishin's body shaking like a scared puppy.

FEAR

Why wouldn't someone fear him? Everyone else did. It didn't make sense.

FEAR FEAR

He had to run. He had to get farther away from reality. But madness would only take him so far.

FEAR FEAR FEAR

No! He just had to deal with one guy. How hard could it be?

FEAR FEAR FEAR

Really hard! Fear is all he has going for him. Without it...

"RRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGHHHHHHHHHHH!"

At that moment, Asura's psyche reached its breaking point. The former Death God's mind shattered into hundreds of pieces, leaving only one instinct left. Asura charged towards Father, attacking mercilessly with his Skin Scarves and leaving the homunculus with no openings whatsoever. Father tried getting in a energy blasts, but Asura was just too fast for him to get a hit in.

"I don't understand this! How did a sniveling coward like you suddenly get so powerful?" Father questioned in between strikes. Unfortunately for him, all the response he got was a blood-curdling roar from Asura and a punch in the face. Father formed two broadswords with alchemy and slashed at Asura, succeeding in slicing off the Kishin's arms. However, Asura's scarves grabbed the removed limbs and reattached them to the bloody stumps on their user's torso.

Father lifted his hand to the sky, calling down bolts of lightning to strike his foe. When Asura noticed the electric bolt coming down, he didn't even bother dodging. He just formed a red circle above his head to shield himself before firing a madness blast at Father from Vajra. While Father tried dodging the blast, he was tripped up by one of Asura's scarves, forcing him to take the blast's full force and waste some of his soul energy to regenerate.

"This isn't good. With the way this battle is going, I'll run out of souls before I can take this beast down." Father thought, his eyes narrowing with anger at the thought of being defeated by someone like Asura.

"DIE!" Asura shouted and he lashed out with one of his scarves, impaling Father through the chest as the homunculus held out his palm, a small fireball appearing in it.

"Witness true power, insect. This is the power of a God!"

Father tossed the fireball at Asura, who countered with an energy blast of his own. On contact with the blast, the fireball erupted into a massive explosion of nuclear energy, setting the entire area around it ablaze. When Asura looked back at Father, two more miniature Suns were flying towards him. Luckily for Asura, he formed a barrier of red energy just in time to stop the Suns from hitting him. After lowering his barrier, Asura charged towards Father at full-speed. The homunculus was barely able to keep up with Asura's movements as the Kishin assaulted him with a relentless flurry of punches, kicks, scarf strikes, and energy blasts.

"Even with the second Philosopher's Stone, I'm running low on souls! That's it! I must finish this now." Father thought. After getting sent flying by a point-blank Vajra blast, Father formed two miniature Suns in his hand, combined them into one, and sent the resulting fireball flying at Asura, followed by a couple tornadoes. Instead of running away, Asura summoned hundreds of red energy symbols in the air, charging each one with his wavelength, before firing off a massive combined blast of madness that pierced right through the Sun blast. The resulting explosion would've incinerated Asura if the symbols weren't acting as a barrier for him.

Even with the destruction of his Sun, Father tried to remain calm. The only problem. He couldn't be calm.

"GIVE YOURSELF TO THE MADNESS."

"Not this again! Get out of my head, you sniveling, insignificant little pest!" Father shouted. Suddenly, three hallucinations of Asura materialized and grabbed Father by his limbs, facing him towards the last madness beam fired by Asura.

"How are they grabbing me? They're not real!" Father asked to no one in particular. "They're not real!" Asura was satisfied, knowing that he'd broken through the opponent's mental walls and forced the madness down on him.

"His souls have been draining quite a bit. A couple more regenerations, and I'll have this victory in the palm of my hand." Asura thought. With Father screaming about how his hallucinations weren't real, that gave Asura the perfect opportunity to strike back at the bearded bastard. As the blast hit Father, it didn't reduce him to ash, but it certainly caused enough damage to force a regeneration.

"Damn you... Damn you, you worthless little pest." Father muttered as he healed his wounds. His souls were mostly drained. His opponent was still mostly at full strength, and his God powers were failing him.

"Alright, Father. We've had our fun, but I want to kill you as painfully as possible." Asura said with a crazed grin as he walked up to Father, wrapping his scarves around Father's wrists and ankles. He then tugged on the scarves as hard as he could.

RIP!

Out came Father's left arm, which was trying its hardest to regenerate.

RIP!

The same thing happened to Father's right arm.

RIP!

Father's left leg fell to the ground.

RIP!

The last of Father's limbs collapsed to the ground. Asura then bound Father with all of his scarves and regurgitated Vajra, gathering crimson energy at the tip of his weapon. This was it. Father's soul were drained. He would die soon anyway. With one last smirk, Asura fired off a giant wave of crimson energy that completely obliterated Father's body, leaving a pile of ash on the ground. However, he could no longer regenerate his body. Father was finally dead.

K.O.!

Asura glared down at the pile of black dust that used to be Father. Instead of bragging, or leaving, or going to cause more havoc, Asura just sat there.

He sat there and laughed.

He laughed at how he triumphed over a so-called God. There was no other Gods! He was the only one, and this proves it! The only true force in the world...

WAS MADNESS!

---

Flash: Now that's what I call a season finale! That was epic!

Mewtwo: It certainly was an impressive brawl.

Raiden: Does it occur to anyone else that we've done something terrible by releasing an insane demon god onto Death City.

Flash: They'll be fine. Anyway, this was a pretty close match. Asura was much stronger physically, but Father had better regeneration. Asura was a better fighter, but Father had more destructive potential. Asura was harder to kill, but Father was far smarter.

Mewtwo: While Father's alchemy was extremely versatile, he really had no way to kill Asura. The only way to permanently finish him off is two hit him with a fist full of courage. But, while Father isn't afraid of Asura, he doesn't really show bravery or courage. It's more overestimating his own abilities than anything else.

Raiden: Asura's abilities, such as his energy attacks and regeneration, also didn't have a set limit to them. While Father's alchemy and healing all leeched off of his soul supply, Asura could spam attacks to his heart's content until Father ran out of souls and died.

Mewtwo: If you think Father could come up with some sort of strategy to win, that would also not work out well. People started hallucinating just by being around Asura, so fighting him for a prolonged amount of time would drive anyone insane.

Flash: Looks like Father just couldn't keep himself together.

Raiden: The winner is Kishin Asura.

KISHIN ASURA
+Better physically
+Father couldn't exploit his weaknesses
+Better fighter
+Much harder to kill
+Can use his powers as much as he wants
+Soul Perception could tell him when Father ran low on energy
+The longer the fight went on, the more Asura's wavelength drove Father insane
-Not as smart
-Not as much destructive power
-Regeneration wasn't as good as Father's
-Kishin powers weren't as versatile as alchemy

FATHER
+Smarter
+More destructive power
+Better healing abilities
+More versatile powers
-Worse physicality
-No way to exploit Asura's weaknesses
-Easier to kill
-Soul supply was a huge limitation
-Goes more insane the longer he's around Asura
-Once his souls ran out, it was over
I conclude my first season with a bang by putting two beings who achieved the powers of Gods against each other to see who'd win in a Death Battle! Thanks to everyone who reads this, and I hope you all enjoy!
